Thank you very much for taking the time to view my portfolio. My name is David Gutierrez. I am a creative director, filmmaker, video editor and photographer. I completed my undergraduate degree in December 2023 from Wayne State University. My major is communication studies with a minor in film.

I believe creating art is a true expression of one’s perception of life and the tribulations one has endured through their journey. For me, filmmaking is my preferred medium of expression. Being able to capture and convey stories is what drives my creativity.

In the last five years, I’ve been filming music videos, live music events, weddings, sporting events and much more. Interning at Wayne State Athletics as their lead videographer is my most recent work experience. In this role, I was tasked with executing shoots, set design, preproduction planning, editing and much more.
